Patients • Services Offered • Mouth Guards

Intraoral appliances (mouth guards) are designed to re-establish proper relationship between the upper and lower arches.

Mouth guards are made of different materials and come in different designs. The decision to use one design over the other is based on the patient's signs, symptoms, presenting dental condition and our clinical experience.

These appliances also play an important rule in protecting teeth and dental restoration from the traumatic effects of clenching and grinding. They can provide a positive secondary effect on the cervical spine, muscles and head posture.

Bite elevating appliances, farrars, jewels, sports guards, snore guards, pivot, distraction and orthodontic retainers are examples of such appliances.
